In 2025, the British magazine EU Business News included ÁBATON among the winners of its Spanish Business Awards, in the category of residential design studio committed to the environment. These are awards organised by the publication itself: its team proposes the candidate companies and assesses them internally.

Sustainability, in any case, is not an award category for ÁBATON, but a starting point that the studio can demonstrate with specific works. The Estate in Extremadura, a country house on a former cattle shed, runs off the grid with solar panels and with turbines driven by two streams on the estate. ARV8 and the CH Project raise their structure with cross-laminated timber panels, a material that stores carbon and allows dry, clean construction. And in its houses, orientation, insulation and the conservation of existing vegetation are considered from the very first sketch.
