Torre Sostenible Award 2009, Las Marías development

According to the trajectory published by the studio, in 2009 ÁBATON received the Torre Sostenible Award for the Las Marías development.

Las Marías is a group of eight semi-detached houses, with just over 2,600 square metres built, overlooking the Guadarrama valley.

The recognition came in the same year that Almanzora, in Aravaca, won the ASPRIMA-SIMA award, at a stage when ÁBATON designed, developed and built its own homes. Sustainability was already present in its work then, not as a label but as a way of making decisions: orientating well, building with durable materials, consuming little.
