Pond Landscaping
- Landscaping project: ÁBATON
This project represents a clear commitment to the design of flower gardens as the aesthetic and ecological axis of a contemporary outdoor space. The garden, developed in a private plot with a swimming pool, seeks to generate a rich and changing sensory experience throughout the year. The composition is built from a dense and colorful perennial planting, with a naturalistic approach that enhances biodiversity and reduces the need for intensive maintenance.
The heart of the design lies in the variety of blooms, which follow each other in stages and enrich the landscape in all seasons. Species such as dahlias, verbascum, lupines, astilbes, echinaceas and perennial geraniums have been selected, combined with light shrubs and groundcovers to create layers of plants full of texture, color and volume. The predominant tones – deep reds, fuchsias, soft yellows and acid greens – generate contrasts that energize the visual reading of the garden from different angles.
One of the objectives of the project has been to integrate the swimming pool as one more piece of the complex, surrounding it with vegetation without losing clarity or functionality. The plants are organized in loose masses, respecting the structure of the paths and living areas, but avoiding the rigidity of the formal schemes. Thus, the space retains a sense of freedom, without sacrificing order.
The result is a vibrant, functional garden that connects to the home through neutral materials and living greenery. This type of flower garden design demonstrates that it is possible to create sustainable, dynamic, and emotionally rich outdoor spaces. Beyond its beauty, this garden offers shelter for pollinating insects, seasonal shade, and a changing experience that accompanies daily life with naturalness and elegance.
