  • Landscaping project: ÁBATON

This project is a clear example of how modern landscaping can transform a residential environment into a sophisticated, functional landscape connected to the architecture. Far from proposing a merely decorative garden, a proposal has been developed that structures the outdoor space as an experiential extension of the house. Each element of the garden is integrated with intention, providing aesthetic and functional value, and adapting to the rhythm of daily use of the home.

This design demonstrates how modern landscaping is not an aesthetic trend, but a way of understanding the garden as part of everyday life. The garden dialogues with the architecture, the environment and the real needs of those who inhabit it. Its goal is not only to beautify, but to improve the quality of space and connect people with the nature that surrounds them.

The design is based on a contemporary language, where clean lines and neutral materials dialogue with a free, fluid and biodiverse planting. Instead of large masses of lawns or formal plantings, hardy species have been chosen to provide texture, movement and prolonged blooms: salvias, gauras, verbenas, centranthus, grasses and light shrubs. These make up a rich and ever-changing plant tapestry.

Smooth paths have been defined to connect different areas of use – rest, circulation, access or contemplation – and low-maintenance solutions with reduced water consumption have been prioritized.

The vegetation does not simply surround the house: it comes into contact with it. It embraces terraces, is reflected in the windows and visually defines the limits of the living space.
