Orchad Landscaping
- Landscaping project: ÁBATON
This project is a clear example of how landscaping with trees can enrich the spatial and emotional experience in a contemporary home. Far from functioning solely as a vegetative backdrop, the trees are here the true protagonists of the design, providing scale, shade, texture and a marked seasonal character.
In the landscaping approach with trees, the choice of trees defines not only the aesthetics, but also the microclimate, biodiversity and quality of the space. Specimens of great ornamental value have been combined with species adapted to the local climate, low maintenance and controlled growth.
The choice of species such as Liquidambar styraciflua or certain types of maple responds to both aesthetic and functional criteria. Their elegant bearing and spectacular chromatic transformation during autumn generate a strong visual impact, marking the rhythm of the seasons and dialoguing with the architecture through color.
Strategic alignments, visual frames from windows and corridors, and paths that guide the gaze and transit between areas have been planned. The use of deciduous trees also allows for the control of solar radiation: providing shade in summer and allowing light to pass through in winter.
This project demonstrates that designing gardens with trees is not just about planting shade: it is about working the structure, the weather and the atmosphere of the garden with sensitivity. A well-planned tree garden transforms the architecture, the environment and the daily life of those who live there.
