Landscaping Project ARV8
- Landscaping project: ÁBATON
Transforming a garden into an interior courtyard is a unique opportunity to create a green and quiet refuge in the heart of the house. This project starts from the premise of making the most of a limited space, integrating diverse vegetation and a fluid design that connects the interior with the exterior. The result is a small ecosystem that brings life, color and freshness to the house, visible from almost every room.
The design is based on a naturalistic and contemporary style. The vegetation is distributed with apparent spontaneity, although it responds to precise planning to ensure staggered blooms, low maintenance and resistance to the urban environment. Native species adapted to the climate have been used, including ornamental grasses, salvias, verbena bonariensis and echinaceas, which not only beautify the environment, but also attract pollinators and enrich the biodiversity of the site.
In this project, it was resolved through the careful selection of semi-shade plants, the use of natural reflectors such as light walls and a vertical arrangement of the garden, taking advantage of vines and climbers that gently adhere to metal walls or trellises.
In addition to its aesthetic value, this type of garden improves the building’s energy efficiency, regulates the temperature in warm seasons and acts as an acoustic filter. The furniture, discreet and functional, allows the space to be enjoyed as an extension of the living room, offering an atmosphere of calm in the middle of an urban environment.
