Best of Houzz 2020, Design

In 2020 ÁBATON earned its fifth Best of Houzz badge in a row for Design, which the Houzz community gives according to what it saves most.

In 2020 ÁBATON earned its fifth consecutive Best of Houzz badge in the Design category, a run that had begun in 2016.

Houzz is an international platform for architecture, interior design and decoration on which millions of people save images of homes they would like to live in. Every year it gives the Best of Houzz badge in the Design category to the professionals whose work has been most saved and shared by its community during the previous year. It is not decided by a jury, but by the accumulated attention of people looking for ideas for their own homes.

The 2020 badge reflects what the Houzz community saved and shared during 2019. The photo on this page shows La Moraleja, a white house among trees with a field of flowering lavender in front: the kind of house in which the garden is designed at the same time as the architecture, an idea that runs through all of the studio’s work.

The badge recurs throughout ÁBATON’s trajectory: the studio’s Houzz profile gathers the Design badges for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2025 and 2026. More than an isolated award, it reflects a sustained interest over time in a way of understanding the home.
