Charles and Ray Eames hide under the Vitra brand. Their activity as furniture manufacturers began in 1957, although their professional career together started much earlier. Between 1941 and 1943, Charles and Ray Eames designed and developed stretchers and leg splints made of molded plywood, and in 1946 they exhibited their experimental molded plywood furniture at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Shortly after this, the Herman Miller Company of Zeeland, Michigan, began producing the Eames furniture designs.
They have crowned themselves as the first modern furniture designers to manufacture all plastic chairs from industrial production. That decorative style reigns in another of their creations, the Elliptical Table ETR, an elegant table with a black tabletop and metal base brackets.
Among the most famous furniture designers also highlights the couple formed between Alvar and Elissa Aalto, who worked under the brand Artek. The woman was precisely the one who pulled the cart.
