Here we bring together iconic and contemporary designer furniture and bespoke pieces, chosen for their proportions, ergonomics, materials and build quality. We analyse types (sofas, tables, chairs, storage, beds, occasional furniture), finishes and woods, upholstery and textiles, as well as criteria such as durability, maintenance and sustainability. We also include combinations, scales and implementation guidelines so that each piece fits in with the architecture: how to arrange a living room, how to create a flexible dining room, how to add storage without cluttering, or how to choose a statement piece of furniture.
