ÁBATON is aware of the footprint that construction leaves on the environment and our objective is to minimize this as much as possible.
Our buildings are designed with low-impact, environmentally friendly, recyclable, adjusted cost materials. Rain water returns to the land to maintain the natural dampness. We apply bioclimatic criteria to all the projects to make them energetically efficient in the short and long term.
IN ÁBATON we have calculated the environmental footprint of an isolated single-family home of approximately 250 m2, built with a plywood structure (CLT). It is a house with a demanding construction standard, with an A energy certification, which follows the conceptual guidelines of the passivhaus standard. From this point of view, it can be considered as a model of the construction pattern of the studio.
Analyzing the environmental footprint gives us detailed, quantified and standardized information on the contribution of each project decision, which allows us to make informed decisions and design buildings with less global impact.
We are committed to the future and we are strong in our decision to work towards a more sustainable world.
